I'm a lifelong artist, but I try not to let that title limit me. I draw and paint pictures, sculpt, take photographs, write stories, novels, poems, songs... There are just too many ways to express yourself. I can't be happy for long doing just one thing. I live in a town where most peoples' concept of art is limited to the Mona Lisa, Shyamalan movies, and little else. So my artistic soul is starving. I'm here to reach out and connect, and to remember how freaking cool it is to be an artist. Help.

Another Impasse

I think I'm just lazy. I never seem to be happy with where things are going for me as an artist. Maybe that's good. It drives me to come up with fresh, original stuff. But it also stops me from working until I do. Not that I don't do anything creative during that time. I'm just now finishing up my run as Yukon Cornelius in "Rudolf the Pissed-Off Reindeer". As an actor and artist, it's a challenge to create a compelling character. So I'm still being an artist, even if it's performing and not visual. Exploring Some New Options

I will finish the drawing of Locke. I just have tons of ideas, and they each go on the backburner while I work on the next one. I love when I get like this. It doesn't happen often enough. Anyway, I just finished my first chalk sidewalk painting, not too bad, you can see it here. What else am I working on? Well, I'm glad I asked.
